You will be part of the medical team and the team of practice nurses within a healthcare organization. You play an important role in nursing diagnostics and treatment. Within the stepped care approach, you will perform triage and determine what you can solve independently within your own expertise or what you will assign to a nursing specialist or doctor.
What you will do.
- Independently conduct consultations at locations with a wide diversity of nursing and medical care needs, such as wound care, palliative and terminal trajectories, and minor medical interventions under the supervision of doctors.
- Perform a monitoring function for doctors and carry out nursing technical procedures indicated by doctors.
- Coach supervisors at the residential facility in implementing medical policy and adjust where necessary.
- Work closely with supervisors and medical, paramedical, and behavioral disciplines.
- Initiate, monitor, and evaluate implemented treatments in consultation with doctors.
- Provide instructions and advice to care staff at various residential locations.
- Participate in quality improvements and innovative projects.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of care content policy.
Profile
- Completed nursing diploma with HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level.
- Preferably, a completed practice nurse training, or willingness to follow one.
- Several years of broad practical experience, preferably in care for people with intellectual disabilities.
- Excellent command of the Dutch language, both verbally and in writing.
- Able to work independently.
- Empathetic, tactful, and resilient.
- Solution-oriented and skilled at setting priorities.
