As a civilian employee at an air support command, you contribute to peace and security with your specialization. You work together in a team of military personnel, reservists, and civilian employees. The activities are carried out within a Product Responsible Unit Helicopter Maintenance of an Aircraft and Helicopter Maintenance Squadron. This squadron performs intermediate and depot level maintenance, repair, overhaul, and upgrade work on flying (weapon) systems.

The organization is a national defense force that contributes to peace and security from the air and space, supports the fight against international unrest, provides disaster relief, and monitors national airspace.

What you do

  • Coordinate and monitor maintenance activities on Chinook or Apache weapon systems.
  • Manage personnel, prepare capacity overviews, and supervise the correct logging of complaints in the maintenance system (SAP).
  • Issue, qualify, and check the execution of Planning Cards.
  • Ensure that all tasks, including sub- and ancillary tasks assigned via authorization or training, are performed correctly.
  • Closely monitor work progress through supervision and discuss malfunctions, repairs, and possible modifications with involved employees and/or the floormanager.
  • Ensure proper regulations and procedure management, as well as an effective safety policy.
  • Ensure that operations within the dock comply with prescribed guidelines for efficient goal achievement.
  • Initiate adjustments to existing working methods or propose new procedures when necessary.
  • Ensure that all publications within the dock are complete, in good condition, and correctly modified.
  • Be responsible for the planning and programming of activities in your dock, ensuring the correct application of procedures and work methods.
  • Ensure compliance with safety measures and actively support safety and environmental actions.
  • Initiate infrastructural requests when necessary and ensure correct packaging, storage, and use of operational substances according to regulations.
  • Propose improvements when bottlenecks are identified.

What they ask

  • Completed MBO-4 diploma in a technical field, preferably in aircraft maintenance technology.
  • Several years of maintenance experience on Chinook or Apache.
  • BVB experience is mandatory.
  • Eye for detail and accurate work according to applicable regulations.
  • Responsible, results-oriented, and decisive.
  • A true team player, who enjoys collaborating and communicates well with colleagues.

Practical

  • A security screening and reference check (upon request) are part of the selection procedure.
  • An assessment may be part of the selection procedure.
  • Dutch nationality is required.
