Online Marketing Specialist

The Marketing & Communication team is responsible for developing and further expanding the brand strategy, creating consistent brand expressions, and setting up and executing successful campaigns. This also includes international marketing campaigns for proprietary fairs, where creative ideas and engaging actions contribute to achieving visitor targets.

The Marketing & Communication department also handles publicity around fairs, congresses, and events and continuously ensures that the organization is positively perceived by stakeholders, (potential) customers and visitors, suppliers, and other (in)direct target groups.

What you will do.

  • Co-develop and execute online marketing campaigns
  • Set up and manage email marketing campaigns around the complete event journey (save the date, registration, reminders, and after-event communication)
  • Apply target group segmentations based on established guidelines (visitors, exhibitors, speakers, partners) and personalize content
  • Manage and update websites and registration pages within various CMS systems
  • Perform performance marketing: implement optimizations of websites and campaigns based on established KPIs (ticket sales, registrations, inquiries/contact requests) and user-friendliness
  • Maintain contact with external agencies (briefing objectives, deadlines, and KPIs)
  • Monitor results and report findings and improvement proposals to the Online Marketing Manager

Profile

  • Completed HBO education (Marketing, Communication, Commercial Economics, or a comparable field), preferably supplemented with relevant online marketing certifications
  • 3 to 5 years of experience with online marketing, preferably within the event industry or a commercial environment
  • Experience with email marketing, websites, and online registration systems
  • Experience collaborating with external agencies
  • Relevant knowledge of online marketing tools such as Google Analytics and CMS systems like WordPress. Knowledge of email marketing software like MailChimp or Copernica is a plus
  • Affinity with conversion optimization and online lead generation
  • Stress-resistant and accustomed to working with deadlines
  • Analytical, proactive
  • Strong communication skills and a true team player
  • Follows relevant developments in the field and is able to respond adequately
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
