As a casemanager at a government organization, you guide residents at an individual level.
- You engage in conversations with residents, know their personal story, think along, advise, and work together on a plan for the future.
- This future can be in the Netherlands or in their country of origin.
- You draw up a guidance plan and work with residents on the skills they need to maintain control over their own lives.
- You are responsible for methodical guidance in various phases, from the moment of arrival until departure from the reception location.
- You are the point of contact for the resident regarding all decisions made in the asylum procedure.
- As a file holder, you share the most important information with your colleagues and ensure coordination with other organizations in the refugee chain.
Profile
- You are not easily deterred if things don't go as expected.
- You continue to seek genuine contact with residents and work with your colleagues to provide the best possible guidance.
- You have a fluent communication style and can communicate well with individuals from different cultural backgrounds.
What they ask
- A completed higher professional education (hbo) degree in Social Work, Social Legal Services, or Law.
Preferences.
- Experience with immigration law.
- Experience working with a large caseload.
- Experience with individual methodical guidance.
Practical
- Flexibly available between 08:00 and 22:00, including weekend shifts.
- You will work at one of the reception locations, which can be a permanent asylum center or an emergency shelter.
- You will work together in a team with colleagues such as residential supervisors and program supervisors.
- The team varies from 15 to 40 colleagues, depending on the size of the location.
- A pre-employment screening will be conducted upon an offer, consisting of a request for a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG), diploma and certificate verification, and identity verification.
