As an Infrastructure Project Follow-up Officer, you ensure that maintenance and infrastructure works on an extensive site are carried out safely, efficiently, and qualitatively. You are responsible for an area with approximately 45 km of roads and cycle paths and monitor various works including roads, car parks, fences, barriers, gantries, and traffic infrastructure. You combine administration and planning with a strong presence on site.
Notifications come in via the internal system, after which you analyze the situation, inspect on site, engage the right contractor, and further prepare and follow up on the work. You will have several projects running simultaneously and are able to set priorities effectively. Safety is always the common thread.
What you will do.
- You process notifications and work orders and assess the situation on site.
- You engage subcontractors and coordinate the execution of the works.
- You plan and monitor multiple activities simultaneously in consultation with internal departments.
- You prepare the necessary work permits and safety documents.
- You supervise quality, safety, planning, and correct execution.
- You check the works upon delivery and ensure correct feedback in SAP.
Profile
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent through relevant technical experience.
- You have experience with infrastructure and/or road works.
- You have technical insight into roads, car parks, fences, barriers, and other site infrastructure.
- You have experience in guiding and monitoring contractors or external companies.
- You have good knowledge of SAP.
- You have good knowledge of MS Office.
- You speak Dutch very well and have a basic knowledge of French and English for communication with contractors.
You are highly organized and can multitask effectively. Even when various notifications, works, and contractors demand your attention simultaneously, you maintain an overview and set the right priorities. As a person, you are calm, approachable, and collaborative. You can get along with different personalities, relativize when necessary, and communicate constructively.
