You will work in a varied combined role, offering both intensive guidance and behavior-oriented support. You will work with clients who need your proximity, structure, and a professional attitude. No day is the same, but every day is meaningful.
What you do
As a support worker, you will switch between different target groups and support needs. Together with your colleagues, you will provide care to clients with intellectual disabilities and complex care needs. You will work within two different residential groups, continuously switching ad hoc between clients, situations, and methods of guidance. You will respond flexibly to what the client and the situation demand at that moment.
You will work with clients with severe intellectual disabilities (EVB+) and challenging behavior. You will provide intensive guidance, often 1-on-1, and support with ADL (Activities of Daily Living). The focus is on proximity, calm, and structure. Many clients receive daytime activities at home, allowing for individual attention and activities such as sensory stimulation, walking, or a moment of rest.
You will work with clients with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities and complex behavioral issues, such as demanding behavior and PTSD. Clients are responsive at a medium to low level, sometimes with the support of a communication system. There is group dynamics and sometimes escalations, primarily self-directed. Aggression towards others occurs only incidentally. You will provide structure, set boundaries, and help clients build trust and develop further. You will make a difference by:
- Providing clarity, structure, and proximity in guidance
- Supporting care (ADL) and daily activities
- Responding adequately to complex behavior and escalations
- Creating meaningful daily activities, both at home and outside
- Building a relationship of trust with clients

Profile
- A care-related MBO-4 or HBO diploma
- Experience with or affinity for an intensive target group (EVB+ and behavioral issues)
- Being firm and able to set clear boundaries
- Being resilient, patient
- Being flexible and able to switch quickly between different situations
- Enjoying teamwork and contributing to team discussions
Practical
- Providing a Certificate of Conduct (VOG)
- Reference check as part of the procedure
