You combine guidance and care for 12 adult clients in a semi-detached house. These clients, aged between 20 and 70, have a moderate intellectual disability and sometimes additional support needs, such as autism or attachment issues. The work involves fixed agreements, structure, and personal attention to create a safe and pleasant living environment where clients feel seen and can develop at their own level.
What you will do.
- Support clients in their daily lives and encourage them to do as much as possible themselves.
- Observe what each person can do, provide guidance where necessary, and take over care when appropriate.
- Identify changes in behavior and recognize tensions in time.
- Help clients better understand situations and feel safe through a calm and clear approach.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the residence.
- Contribute to organizational, household, and administrative tasks.
- Work according to a rotating schedule with morning, evening, and weekend shifts.
Profile
- Completed care education at a minimum of mbo level 3.
- Experience or interest in care for people with disabilities.
- You enjoy combining guidance and care.
- You can provide structure and communicate clearly.
- You see behavior as a request for help and act accordingly.
