You will join a team and contribute to the evolution of an information system combining historical applications (Mainframe/Cobol) with modern. NET technologies. The challenge is to design application layers structured according to Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles on top of existing systems, to support their gradual modernization. You will also work on projects that remain in the legacy environment, where understanding business operations is essential.
This is a design and support role: you will not be responsible for implementation, and no knowledge of Cobol programming is required.
What you do
- Exchange with business stakeholders and analysts to understand needs, business rules, and existing processes.
- Design coherent solution architectures that align with these needs and the constraints of the information system.
- Apply Domain-Driven Design principles to structure business domains and their translation into the architecture.
- Define the articulation between legacy systems and new.NET applications.
- Present and defend your choices to the architecture committee.
- Support teams in understanding solutions and develop in-depth knowledge of the business domain.
What they ask
- Solid IT experience, complemented by significant experience as a Solution Architect.
- Concrete experience with DDD, ideally in a context of modernization and integration with legacy systems.
- Good knowledge of the.NET ecosystem and modern architectures.
- Strong interest in functional analysis: you enjoy understanding how systems work and why the business needs them.
- Ability to communicate with both business stakeholders and analysts and architects.
- Proficiency in ArchiMate for modeling and communicating your architectures.
- French and English are essential. Dutch is a plus.
