An expertise center for children and adolescents with complex psychiatric issues is looking for a coordinating counselor with systemic therapeutic expertise for the Intensive Treatment Group. The clinical, intensive treatment group offers observation, diagnostics, and treatment to a maximum of 7/8 children (aged 6 to 13) with a psychiatric care need. Children typically stay in the group for several months.
Our treatment group provides an observation and treatment environment where children and parents/caregivers feel safe to learn. Parents are intensively involved in the treatment through treatment discussions, parental participation in the group, outpatient appointments (at home), and, if necessary, rooming in. The guidance is system-oriented, with the aim of helping families to continue together with outpatient care after admission.
What you will do.
- You will fulfill a substantive consulting role within the treatment process.
- From a systemic perspective, you will keep an eye on the broader context of the child: their parents, social network, and wider environment.
- You will be able to adopt the perspective of parents/caregivers, recognize interaction patterns, and help redirect these patterns to strengthen parenting skills and the parent-child relationship.
- You will engage in discussions focused on diagnostics (e.g., systemic assessment) and treatment (e.g., psychoeducation) regarding systemic patterns.
- You will focus on experiential learning within the group.
- You will help and coach mentors/sociotherapists to encourage parents in daily practice to change their interaction patterns for the development of their child.

- Completed HBO-level education in, for example, Social Work, Nursing, SPH / MWD; preferably supplemented with a systemic follow-up course/training.
- Relevant work experience in, for example, mental health care (GGZ), youth care, or care & welfare.
- SKJ registration.
- A must: systemic therapeutic knowledge and experience.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work demand-driven, methodically, and result-oriented.
