Environmental Manager for urban renewal projects

• You support the senior environmental manager in coordinating between departments on policy and designs, especially for projects in plan development and the administrative decision-making process.
• You contribute to the thinking and writing of BLVC plans (Accessibility, Liveability, Safety, Communication), both for the frameworks and the implementation.
• You are responsible for the cables and pipelines and research dossier, as well as the permit process.
• You participate in project meetings and appointments with residents and other stakeholders.
• You are the linchpin between the public organization, residents, contractor, utility companies, and other stakeholders in the area.
• You are the point of contact for residents in the neighborhood for questions.
• You perform supporting activities for the various project teams.

• You are the connecting link between the internal project team and the public organization, residents, contractors, utility companies, and other stakeholders in the project area.
• You work independently within the agreed goals, planning, and results, and coordinate interfaces and dependencies with the project manager and the project team.
• You can determine your own approach and carry out your activities independently within the agreed goals and results.
• You maintain contact with stakeholders and ensure timely coordination between all involved parties.
• You organize your own activities, monitor progress and quality, and discuss results and any bottlenecks at agreed times.
• You alternate office work with on-site work and can quickly be on location when coordination is needed in the project area.

What they ask

• Minimum of 4 years of work experience as an environmental manager.
• Minimum of 4 years of work experience within a public organization.
• Knowledge and work experience with participation in integrated sustainable urban renewal projects, replacement projects for sewerage and paving.
• Work experience as an environmental manager with collaboration in project teams in all phases of the project.

Preferences.

• HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level.
• The environmental manager can independently manage participation processes, address stakeholder management in a targeted manner, and work in a results-oriented, de-escalating, and efficient way.
• Experience working in the plan study, preparation, and realization phases as an environmental manager.
• Experience collaborating in construction teams.
• Experience supporting a senior environmental manager.
• Experience supporting the senior environmental manager in setting up BLVC framework and implementation plans.
• Experience supporting the senior environmental manager in cables and pipelines and research dossiers.
• Experience working in large-scale participation processes.
