Technical Administrator
You will be part of a dynamic team of designers, technical, and functional administrators within a specialized cybersecurity center of a government organization. Together, you form the backbone of the organization, where you play a central role in technical management processes in accordance with the ITIL methodology. You will work closely with colleagues to manage, support, and innovate security systems. You contribute to the safety of the country.
The engineering team collaborates to ensure the continuity and availability of security systems.
What you do
- Technical management of used tooling and implementation of new tooling.
- Planning and coordination with administrators and first-line administrators.
- Focus on management processes in accordance with the ITIL methodology.
- Determining the impact of migrations or management projects.
- Executing planned changes and controls.
- Testing proposed changes/migrations/projects.
- Configuring application-related items in various systems.
- Investigating and finding solutions for improvements, deviations, and problems.
- Incident/escalation/project coordination.
- Planning and work preparation for yourself and administrators and first-line administrators.
- Creating and coordinating changes.
- Developing plans/proposals for improvements, resolving deviations, and fixing problems.
- Generating reports (periodically or on demand).
- Registering and reporting improvements, deviations, and problems.
- Providing Configuration Management information.
- Preparing and keeping service and measurement reports up-to-date.
- Guiding and coaching junior and medior technical administrators.
- Participating in on-call services.
Profile
You are an IT professional with a passion for Cyber Security and have broad knowledge of technology and management processes. You are proficient in both the technology and management processes of security systems. You work in a process- and project-oriented manner to keep security systems up-to-date and available.
What they ask
- HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level, preferably a completed education in ICT or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- Experience in the field of technical management, familiar with management processes according to ITIL.
- Experience with Linux and Windows.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a medior administrator at an operational level.
- Experience with automation solutions such as Ansible, Terraform, GitLab, and automating tasks/processes.
- Experience with container solutions such as Docker, Docker Swarm, and Kubernetes.
- Experience in managing junior and medior administrators.
Desired skills.
- Technical knowledge of Endpoint agents management or willingness to acquire it.
- Technical knowledge of ElasticSearch/ElasticSecurity or willingness to acquire it through certifications.
- Technical knowledge of network equipment or willingness to acquire it through certifications.
