Enforcement Officer

You are responsible for identifying and, if necessary, preventing uncivil behavior related to cleanliness, safety, and public order, as well as parking violations within the territory of a public organization. Through your actions, you contribute daily to improving the living environment of the organization.
What you do
- Conduct patrols in public spaces
- Monitor compliance with municipal regulations applicable to the role in public spaces and remind people of the rules to prevent uncivil behavior and offenses
- Identify infringements of the general police regulations and other municipal regulations applicable to the role, with the possibility of imposing administrative fines on site
- Address individuals committing an offense, identify them (without coercion), raise their awareness, and/or sanction them
- Draft and forward findings
- Report relevant information to hierarchy
- Develop expertise through continuous training
- Participate in targeted preventive/repressive actions, possibly in collaboration with partners
Profile
- Proficiency in French and Dutch (Werkenvoor certificate is a plus). Clear and assertive communication (oral and written).
- Possession of the certificate of success after completing the 'Municipal Administrative Sanctions (GAS) for Enforcement Officer' training is a plus.
- Professional, integral, and service-oriented attitude.
- Ability to research relevant information with a critical mindset.
- Efficient collaboration to achieve common goals.
- Work accurately, carefully, and quality-oriented.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes, unforeseen circumstances, and diverse interlocutors.
- Correct application of the legal framework: labor regulations, GAS legislation, road code, police regulations, municipal regulations.
- Efficient use of digital tools: LibreOffice, Outlook, intranet, internet, eRH.
- Proficiency in professional software: Eforms2, Infodoc.
- Use of professional equipment: GSM, PDA, uniform, badge.
- Draft structured reports, findings, and emails.
- Ability to accurately observe, analyze, and report situations.
- Conflict management through active listening.
- Ability to provide first aid when necessary.
