A government organization is responsible for developing, managing, and innovating various chain-wide facilities within the Criminal Justice and Immigration chain. These facilities are part of a Chain Facilities department. In a European context, work is being done on a package to combat illegal immigration, increase security within the Schengen area, and facilitate the border process. In this context, a specific service is being implemented.
The organization embraces these objectives by working with chain partners to ensure that the necessary changes in processes and systems are implemented in a timely manner. This contributes to combating illegal migration and irregular border crossings and ensures better and faster information exchange across the chains. In the longer term, the goal is to timely implement European regulations to comply with European legislation, including message traffic to specific European systems.
What you do
- Implement a specific service
- Realize and manage changes in systems and processes related to this service
- Collaborate with chain partners to ensure timely implementation of necessary adjustments
- Participate in releases and patching, including work outside regular office hours when necessary
- Perform on-call duties a few times a year
What they ask
- HBO-level diploma (bachelor) or equivalent through EVC, or a minimum of two years of demonstrable experience at the required work and thinking level (to be proven with CV and official document)
- Containerization and orchestration: Minimum 3 years of experience with OpenShift for managing and implementing containerized applications
- Automation: More than 3 years of experience with Ansible/Ansible Automation Platform for infrastructure management and configuration management
- Network infrastructure: 3 years of experience with load balancing and network configurations, including requesting and managing network facilities
- Certificates: Demonstrable knowledge and experience with client and server certificates (PkI)
- Monitoring and logging: 2 years of knowledge of Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash) for extensive logging and monitoring
- System administration: More than 7 years of experience with Linux, scripting
- Database: 3 years of knowledge and experience with PostgreSQL
- Agreement with the stated secondment condition

Preferences.
- Java/Springboot applications: extensive experience with troubleshooting, deployment & configuration
- Keycloak: knowledge of OAuth2.0 and OpenId Connect
- APIs: Knowledge of implementing APIs
- Data integration: Experience with Axway B2Bi in combination with eBXML for reliable and standardized data exchange
- Communication protocols: Experience with gRPC for efficient and scalable communication between systems
- RHEL: Extensive experience with RHEL systems in production environments (optimization, security, troubleshooting)
