For an industrial organization, we are looking for an E&I Project Engineer for the realization of electrical and instrumentation projects within an industrial production environment. In this role, you are responsible for the technical elaboration and follow-up of CAPEX projects and brownfield modifications (MOC). You combine engineering with a strong practical focus and work closely with internal stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers from scope definition and design to construction, commissioning, and handover.
What you will do.
- Define and elaborate E&I scope, design criteria, technical specifications, calculations, drawings, and project documentation.
- Execute and coordinate engineering around LV/MV distribution, switchgear, transformers, protections, grounding, and cabling.
- Develop and follow up on instrumentation, measurement and control technology, and control interfaces.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces between Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, HSE, Construction, contractors, and suppliers.
- Review contractor and vendor engineering, technical offers, deviations, and proposals.
- Technically assess solutions and formulate clear, pragmatic recommendations.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable legislation, standards, codes, project specifications, and internal standards.
- Follow up on engineering deliverables, technical reviews, interfaces, risks, and actions.
- Timely signal technical risks, bottlenecks, and deviations to project management.
- Provide input from constructability and practical feasibility.
- Support inspections, FAT/SAT, testing, energization, commissioning, punch-list follow-up, and project handover.
- Support brownfield modifications and the preparation/follow-up of technical modification documentation.
Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Instrumentation, or a comparable technical field.
- Demonstrable experience as an E&I Project Engineer within industrial, energy, chemical, process, or similar CAPEX environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of LV/MV systems, electrical protections, transformers, switchgear, grounding, cabling, and instrumentation.
- Experience with brownfield projects and industrial commissioning.
- Knowledge of hazardous areas, functional safety interfaces, and/or electrical studies is a plus.
- Able to independently prepare technical documents and engineering deliverables and critically review them.
- You are hands-on, structured, and pragmatically oriented.
- You communicate clearly and professionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- You dare to critically question technical input and actively challenge missing information.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
