DORA Supervisor Asset Management
This role contributes to a digitally resilient asset management sector. The sector is large and complex, with over 300 institutions managing significant assets. IT systems play a crucial role, and institutions are dependent on well-functioning IT systems, exposed to risks such as cyber threats. It is essential that IT risks are well managed. Since 2025, the European Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) imposes important requirements on IT processes and internal control of asset managers.
In this position, you will assess whether asset managers comply with these requirements, whether their IT processes are well organized, and their risk management is in order. You will work on complex files that require careful consideration, collaborate closely with experts, use data to gain insight into risks, and discuss your findings with asset managers. In this way, you translate complex IT risks into concrete insights and contribute to a resilient and future-proof sector.
What you will do.
- Supervise DORA compliance and conduct investigations based on trends, signals, and supervisory strategy.
- Assess IT processes, internal control, and risk management.
- Conduct supervisory discussions with asset managers.
- Identify (new) IT risks and technological developments impacting asset managers.
- Collaborate with colleagues from various disciplines and contribute to the further development of supervision.
Profile
- Completed university degree (WO): for example, in cybersecurity, information management, or IT Audit.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience enabling you to properly assess IT risks, for example in IT (Audit), cybersecurity, risk, compliance, or a related function.
- Knowledge of and experience with standards, frameworks, and legislation in IT risk management and information security, such as DORA, ISO 27001, and COBIT. An RE or CISA certification is a plus.
- Analytical thinking: you quickly grasp complex files and can distinguish main issues from minor ones.
- Results-oriented: you focus on achieving goals and ensure your work delivers the desired outcome.
- Persuasiveness: you are a strong discussion partner and communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
- Ownership: you take responsibility for your activities and ensure proactive execution.
Practical
- You will work within a department of approximately 60 employees and be part of a team of about twenty colleagues that investigates whether institutions comply with laws and regulations and ensures new rules are properly implemented.
- During IT investigations, you will often collaborate with other colleagues specialized in IT audit or cybersecurity.
- You will also work with supervisors from other specializations within or outside the department.
- Regular contact with external institutions and supervisory authorities.
- Start with a one-year contract with the prospect of permanent employment.
- Salary scale G, depending on your knowledge and experience, with a gross annual salary between €65,000 and €106,000 (incl. 13th month and holiday pay).
