Youth Worker

• Guide young people (13-18 years old) who have experienced a lot
• Provide structure and regularity
• 24/7 guidance to promote independent living from the age of 18
• Conduct regular mentoring conversations with the young people
• Maintain contact with external organizations and aid workers, such as the guardian, school, and general practitioner
• Ensure a safe and livable residential environment
• Be a visible point of contact for the young people
• Collaborate within a team with a good working atmosphere
• Participate in regular meetings and intervision discussions to ensure quality

What they ask

• Education: a relevant higher professional education (hbo) or university (wo) diploma: Social Work, MWD, SPH, CMV, Teacher Training, Pedagogy, Psychology, or another diploma within the Social Sciences
• SKJ registration or the possibility to obtain it within two years
• Work experience: preferably in youth care, mental health care, within a care institution, and/or welfare work
• Personality: be resilient, empathetic without losing professional distance, and clear in setting boundaries
• Flexibility: be available for day, evening, night, and weekend shifts (night shifts are always waking shifts). This is a strict requirement
• A relevant MBO diploma combined with an SKJ registration is also welcome

• You will work at one of the organization's reception locations
• The size of the reception locations and the number of young people vary per location
• A team consists of 15 to 40 employees, including youth workers, residential counselors, and behavioral experts
• A pre-employment screening is conducted upon employment, consisting of a request for a Certificate of Conduct (VOG), diploma and certificate verification, and identity verification
