This role focuses on making processes more efficient, better utilizing systems and data, and relieving legal professionals of operational tasks within a legal department of a university medical center. You will help the department to manage risks in a more data-driven way. The role will initially focus on the processes of the Research & Education team and will eventually extend across the entire legal department.
What you do
- Designing, building, implementing, and optimizing work processes within the legal department.
- Managing and further developing the digital environment (Microsoft 365, Salesforce, SharePoint) to support efficient and effective work processes.
- Designing and implementing automation flows (Power Automate, Copilot Studio).
- Setting up a knowledge management and case system for the department, ensuring relevant data is easily accessible to stakeholders.
- Guiding the introduction of AI tools for legal tasks (contract analysis, written advice, intake routing).
- Supporting content experts in improvement initiatives.
- Developing and preparing reports, dashboards, and KPI overviews.

You enjoy taking initiative and working in an environment where legal content and innovation meet. You like to bring structure to complex situations, without losing sight of the human aspect and nuance.
Hard requirements.
- Affinity or demonstrable experience with process improvement or operational management (e.g., in a staff, advisory, or project role).
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, particularly SharePoint, Teams, and Power Automate.
- Ability to connect technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills: you quickly identify bottlenecks and translate them into concrete solutions.
- Good oral and written communication in Dutch and English.
Strong advantages.
- Experience with (or affinity for) legal processes, contract management, and/or compliance.
- Familiarity with AI tooling for knowledge work: Copilot, ChatGPT, prompt engineering.
- Knowledge of project management methods (e.g., OGSM).
- Affinity with change management.
