As a Medior Engineer Primary High Voltage Installations, you will manage complex high-voltage projects that directly contribute to the energy transition. You will translate client requirements into electrical engineering designs for primary installations, from basic design to execution design. The technical core of your role lies in creating reliable, safe, and future-proof high-voltage substations for grid operators.
You will be involved from the initial idea through to delivery, continuously ensuring overview, quality, and cost-efficiency in every project. You will work as an independent professional for a specialized consulting and engineering firm in the energy sector, with a strong focus on high-voltage infrastructure and energy transition. Within a business unit, you will work on projects for Dutch grid operators concerning energy generation, transport, delivery, and storage.
The organization combines years of practical experience in electrical engineering and energy technology with a future-oriented view on sustainable energy solutions. You will work in multidisciplinary project teams where engineers from different disciplines collaborate on designing and realizing new or modified high-voltage substations.
What you do
- Translate client requirements into feasible electrical engineering designs for high-voltage projects
- Develop basic designs, detailed engineering, and execution designs for primary installations
- Create cost calculations based on requirements, specifications, and contractual documents
- Support technical managers during design and engineering phases
- Coordinate with engineers from other disciplines and advise from your electrical engineering expertise
- Share knowledge and actively guide colleagues to successfully complete projects
- Combine technical insight with leadership and make decisions within the engineering team
