A youth theatre house is looking for a Social Media Content Creator / Digital Marketer for a performing arts festival. The festival focuses on stage work by and with children and young people.
What you will do.
- Develop a social media and content strategy in close consultation with the organization's communication manager, in line with the identity, house style, and objectives of the festival.
- Create a feasible content plan for the period before, during, and after the festival.
- Translate the atmosphere and uniqueness of the performing arts festival into accessible content.
- Devise formats and stories suitable for Instagram, Facebook, and other relevant channels.
- Write strong, clear, and engaging social copy in Dutch, with a feel for the tone of voice of the festival and the theatre house.
- Create/edit photos, videos, reels, stories, interviews, behind-the-scenes content yourself.
- Take into account the co-creation idea of the festival: for, by, and with children/young people.
- Involve one or more young reporters in developing and creating (part of) the content and guide them.
- Maintain the festival's website (independently learn and manage a CMS).
Profile
- Education in digital marketing, social/digital media, content creation, digital design, or equivalent through demonstrable experience.
- At least 2 years of work experience in digital marketing/content creation.
- Creative, flexible maker with a strong sense of storytelling.
- Knowledge of the digital world of young people and the ability to authentically reflect their voice in communication.
- Quickly master a CMS.
- Fluent and error-free writing in Dutch.
- A great passion for theatre/performing arts.
- Able to work independently, but also open to team input.
- Willingness to work evenings or weekends.
What they ask
- Knowledge of Adobe Indesign, Photoshop, Premiere, and possibly After Effects is desired. Compatible, equivalent programs will also be considered.
Practical
- This is a part-time fixed-term contract, with remuneration according to the Performing Arts Collective Labour Agreement (scale A) as an employee or on a self-employed basis.
