Project Manager Technical Automation

As a Project Manager Technical Automation, you will be responsible for realizing multiple technical automation projects within a mobility sector organization. You will manage the entire project management process, from initiation to delivery and handover to operations.

You will be part of the Project Management department, a team of approximately 23 professionals who deliver asset-related projects in the fields of infrastructure, systems, stations, buildings, and fleet. You will report on content to the project clients and functionally to the Head of Project Management of the Engineering Bureau.

What you do

  • Prepare and maintain project plans
  • Define scope, objectives, preconditions
  • Establish and monitor planning, budget, risks, and quality aspects
  • Organize necessary capacity, resources
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor progress, risks, quality, budget
  • Focus on safety, availability, and lifecycle costs
  • Identify deviations and implement appropriate control measures
  • Apply the Prince2 methodology within projects
  • Ensure timely and qualitative delivery
  • Organize handover to the operational organization and users
  • Document project results and lessons learned
  • Formally close projects in accordance with the organization's processes

What they ask

  • A completed HBO or university degree, preferably in electrical engineering, technical business administration, mechanical engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as a project manager in a technical environment
  • Demonstrable experience with technical automation projects and projects where both technology and business operations converge
  • Experience with stakeholder management within complex organizations

Preferences.

  • Experience within the mobility, infrastructure, industry, or transport sector is a plus
  • In possession of Prince2 Practitioner and/or IPMA-D or higher certification
  • Knowledge of project control, risk management, and quality management
