Within a professional group, you are responsible for guiding patients and their relatives with questions about meaning, worldview, and moral dilemmas.
- You create space for reflection and seek connection and meaning.
- You offer a safe place to speak in confidence about what the patient and/or their relative is experiencing or preoccupied with.
What you do
- Participate in multidisciplinary consultations.
- Organize reflection meetings.
- Guide employees during impactful events, individually or in teams.
- Responsible for medical ethics training for doctors in training.
- Provide clinical lessons and professional development to various target groups, focusing on the spiritual and existential dimensions of care.
- Coordinate tasks within the professional group.
- Act as a point of contact for several departments.
- Maintain a visible presence in departments and be easily approachable.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
What they ask
- Completed a university master's degree in Humanistics, Religious Studies, or Theology, with a specialization in spiritual care.
- Preferably several years of work experience in a hospital.
- Member of the VGVZ, or willing to become a member.
- Act according to the professional standard and code of conduct of the professional association.
- Open-minded and able to communicate well with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Possess an open, deeply felt worldview on which you can reflect.
- Able to navigate a complex organization.
- Able to collaborate effectively with various disciplines, carefully handling professional secrecy and the function of a safe space.
- Affinity with the people, culture, and social context of the region.
