Contextual Counselor

What you do

  • You are responsible for the contextual guidance of entrusted children, young people, and their parents. This is tailored to their request for help and needs to guarantee and promote their emotional well-being, safety, independence, and self-reliance.
  • Throughout the guidance, as a contextual counselor, you consider all aspects of the family situation, the network, and other involved aid workers.
  • You apply a positive and motivating approach, seeing solutions rather than problems, and taking into account the individuality of each person in every case.
  • Together with the multidisciplinary team, you report your findings and collaborate on a joint support plan to improve the family situation.
  • As a contextual counselor, you strive for a partnership with the children, young people, and their context to guide and support them optimally.

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in a social field (pedagogy, agogics, psychology, orthopedagogy).
  • Experience as a contextual counselor is preferred.
  • You possess a driving license and possibly your own car.
