As a traffic controller, you will work at various locations. Planning takes your place of residence into account. You will usually travel from home to the work location and often complete one assignment per day. You will work outdoors in various traffic situations and at events, making every day unique. Your colleagues and locations change regularly, allowing you to meet many people and discover new places.
What you do
- Ensure safe and smooth traffic flow.
- Guide cars, cyclists, and pedestrians around construction sites and events.
- Give clear instructions with hand gestures and possibly a stop sign.
- Maintain an overview, even during busy periods.
- Sometimes perform access control, direct visitors to parking spaces, or register construction traffic.
- Assist in difficult situations, such as traffic light failures.
- Remain calm and communicate clearly to directly contribute to safety on the street and at the location.
What they ask
- Willingness to follow a three-day course and obtain the traffic controller pass.
- Good command of the Dutch language for clear instructions.
- Possess a driving license for independent travel to locations.
- Ability to apply for a VOG (Certificate of Conduct), the costs of which will be reimbursed.

- Flexible availability for part-time or full-time work, from an average of three days per week.
- Available for varying working hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
