Youth and Family Professional

• You collaborate within a district team and with colleagues across the broader region.
• You support diverse families with various questions: from preventive parenting issues to collective solutions in the neighborhood and identifying unsafe situations.
• You provide appropriate support and/or youth assistance so that families can continue as independently as possible.
• You work based on fundamental knowledge about target groups (young child, child, teenager) and various themes (multiple and complex problems, safety, neighborhood-oriented work).
• You manage your own caseload and are the point of contact for families, with their request for help at the center.
• You build trust, encourage self-reliance and control, and provide information, advice, or engage specialized help.
• You are easily accessible on location and in the neighborhood, visit families, are present at schools, give presentations, and organize thematic meetings.
• You address issues in the neighborhood and organize appropriate actions and/or thematic meetings.
• You collaborate with (in)formal partners in the neighborhood to engage optimal forms of assistance when needed.
• You position yourself expertly within a family system, work solution-oriented, and reflect individually and with colleagues.

What they ask

• Valid professional registration (SKJ).
• Relevant and completed HBO degree (e.g., Pedagogy, SPH, MWD, Social Work).
• Curiosity and solution-oriented thinking to meet family needs.
• Good ability to reflect on your own work and actions, and actively work on your learning goals.
• Patience when facing challenges or delays, such as waiting lists in the youth care system.
• Affinity with working with vulnerable families, refugees, and multi-problem situations.

• Salary in scale 9 of the Youth Care Collective Labor Agreement (CAO Jeugdzorg): minimum €3309.79 and maximum €4943.34 gross per month (based on 36 hours).
• Fixed-term employment, convertible to permanent employment after one year if performance is good and company conditions remain stable.
• Good secondary employment conditions: year-end bonus, holiday pay, 200 hours of leave (based on 36 hours), good pension provision, and contribution to health insurance premium.
• NS Businesscard for public transport travel (also private) or travel expense reimbursement (max. 30 km one way) and use of a SWAP-bike.
