A government organization is working on the growth of the city, which requires housing, workplaces, facilities, and renovations of public spaces. As a project engineer, you contribute to this. You support the technical elaboration of earthworks and coordinate with colleagues and advisors. You work with design and engineering software and support the preparation, planning, quality, transfer, and execution of underground projects. In addition to working on projects, there is room for training in the field.
You collaborate with experienced project engineers, project managers, and other specialists and are given the opportunity to learn the profession in practice.

The role requires a precise and eager-to-learn work attitude. You learn to maintain an overview, set priorities, and carry out tasks within agreed timelines.
With your technical insight and eye for quality, you help ensure that projects are well-prepared and executable. You are not afraid to make decisions or take action. In complex problems, under time pressure, and when information is missing, you dare to make decisions, in consultation with directly involved colleagues and the project leader. You will work for a multidisciplinary team, where collaboration is central. Independent work is also not a problem for you.
Your goals are clear, you prioritize achieving the agreed results, and giving up is not an option. You have critical and analytical abilities. In case of problems, you come up with proposals to solve them, using clear language, without losing sight of the relationship. You possess good oral and written communication skills.
What they ask
- Completed MBO 4 (intermediate vocational education) in Civil Engineering (Ground, Road, and Water Construction) or currently pursuing it
- Minimum 5 months of work experience as a project engineer
- Internship and/or work experience gained at a municipal organization in the field of earthworks project preparation, with experience in preparing and elaborating technical designs
- Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D software
Preferences.
- Internship or work experience as a project engineer in the field of earthworks at a government organization with more than 160,000 inhabitants
- Minimum 6 months of work experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D design and engineering software
- Minimum 3 months of work experience with Microsoft Office, such as Teams, Outlook
