A hands-on Technical Application Manager / Functional Application Engineer with a strong focus on application support, maintenance, and operational excellence.
- Play a key role in ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of business-critical applications that support a complex international business environment.
- Act as a central point of contact for application-related incidents, operational issues, and system improvements.
- Focus on maintaining application reliability while proactively identifying opportunities to enhance performance and reduce operational risk.
- Work closely with Agile teams, business analysts, developers, infrastructure specialists, and business stakeholders to ensure applications remain robust, scalable, and aligned with business requirements.
What you do
- Provide technical and functional support for critical business applications.
- Monitor application availability, performance, and overall system health.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and production issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions.
- Support application releases, deployments, and production changes.
- Maintain and monitor integrations, interfaces, and data flows.
- Ensure data quality and consistency across interconnected systems.
- Coordinate and perform application maintenance activities.
- Assist with testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities where required.
- Drive automation initiatives and operational process improvements.
- Maintain technical, operational, and support documentation.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure service continuity.
- Support application lifecycle management, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within Agile teams.

What they ask
- Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- 3-5+ years of experience in Application Management, Application Support, Production Support, or a comparable position.
- Experience working across both business and IT stakeholder groups.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Understanding of administrative and financial business processes is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
