Project Worker Social Cohesion

An organization supports parents of young children regarding health, care, and education, primarily preventively through consultation bureaus, outreach teams, and local initiatives. For a new project focused on social cohesion, encouraging women and girls of foreign origin to make plans for their future, discover their talents, and take small, achievable steps towards their dreams, we are looking for project workers. This is done through the methodology of empowering resilience-building group work.

Local authorities can request series of 10 meetings. The project workers plan and guide these series within the project team.

What you do

As a project worker, you guide empowering, resilience-building group series for women and girls. You create a warm, safe, and accessible environment where participants feel welcome and can develop. Specifically:

  • Guiding group sessions on participation and activation.
  • Welcoming participants in a warm and accessible manner.
  • Managing the practical organization of group series and sessions.
  • Promoting the offer and ensuring smooth referral of participants by collaborating with local partners and organizations.
  • Developing and disseminating communication and promotional material.
  • Recruiting volunteers for childcare during sessions and supporting them where necessary.
  • Maintaining contact with participants between sessions.
  • Building expertise on the project's substantive themes and the target group.
  • Responsible for reporting, registration, evaluation, and impact measurement.
  • Actively contributing to the further development of a sustainable quality framework.

Profile

  • At least a higher education diploma in a human sciences field or equivalent by experience.
  • Affinity with empowerment, resilience building, working with socially vulnerable families, and collaborating with local partners is a significant plus.

  • Fluent in Dutch, both spoken and written. Knowledge of other languages is a significant advantage.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
  • Driving license B and access to a car.
