Sound Issues Advisor
The objective is to enhance the attractiveness of the region and facilitate growth while preserving the quality of the environment. An experienced and broad sound advisor is sought to support and relieve two sound policy officers in carrying out legal sound tasks, answering substantive sound questions, and discussing complex sound issues. The activities are an integral part of regular operations and require full integration into the organization.
What you will do.
- Sound advice in infrastructural (road) projects
- Answering questions and complaints about sound sources
- Input in projects within the Sound Cooperation Agenda
- Evaluation of silent areas
- Answering policy-related questions about the provincial Environmental Ordinance
- Advising on locations for wind turbines and high-voltage substations
- Handling (regional) aviation issues
- Implementation of the Sound Action Plan, including sound remediation
- Support for ongoing remediation projects
- Support for the organization of the new legal remediation
- Determining the scope of remediation based on established sound production ceilings
- Support for establishing the list of legally remediated homes
- Defining and prioritizing projects using available DMC's
- Coordination of the process with the Mobility domain
- Providing EU sound mapping 2026
Profile
You are an experienced and broad sound advisor. You take over tasks from sound policy officers and support colleagues within the sound cluster, the Environment team, and the Mobility department. You are part of the sound cluster and actively contribute to strengthening it. You are part of the team, participate in internal meetings, and work under the daily guidance of the responsible manager. For issues where you do not have sufficient in-depth knowledge, you use a nearby network where this knowledge is available.

- Demonstrable completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable work experience in the role of sound advisor or sound expert
- Demonstrable work experience with carrying out or supervising complex sound projects, with explicit mention of where this knowledge was gained and applied
Wishes.
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable work experience with sound advice in the field of road traffic noise, with explicit mention of where this knowledge was gained and applied
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable work experience with sound advice within a government organization (province, municipality, or environmental service)
