You will work within an Economy team, part of an Urban Development department within a government organization. The team consists of advisors and account managers with various substantive areas of focus, including retail/hospitality/leisure, knowledge economy, business parks, office locations and shopping areas, and regional economy and cooperation. Files are handled and executed independently, in close collaboration with colleagues, entrepreneurs, social partners, and regional parties.

- Translating economic developments into policy advice and concrete proposals
- Drafting policy documents such as a retail vision, night vision, and economic vision
- Advising colleagues, management, and the board on economic issues
- Contributing to an attractive business and establishment climate
- Connecting economy with spatial and social developments
- Maintaining contacts with entrepreneurs, business associations, and other relevant partners
- Participating in regional consultations and partnerships
- Preparing administrative decision-making and answering official and administrative questions

- Collaborating within multidisciplinary teams on integrated municipal challenges
What they ask
- Minimum of 3 years demonstrable work experience in the past 10 years as a policy advisor/economic advisor within a municipality or other public organization
- Demonstrable work experience with advising management and/or the board on economic and/or spatial-economic issues, including preparing administrative decision-making
- Demonstrable work experience with translating economic developments and issues into policy advice, policy proposals, and/or concrete implementation proposals
Wishes.
- Demonstrable work experience with drafting and/or substantively developing economic policy documents, such as an economic vision, retail vision, hospitality policy, and/or night vision, including guidance towards administrative decision-making
- Minimum of 2 years demonstrable work experience with advising management and/or the board on economic issues and preparing administrative decision-making, including drafting administrative advice and/or answering administrative questions
- Minimum of 2 years demonstrable work experience with stakeholder management within the economic domain, maintaining contacts and collaborating with entrepreneurs, business associations, and/or other relevant external partners
- Demonstrable work experience in at least one assignment with integrated economic challenges at the intersection of economy and spatial development, collaborating within multidisciplinary teams and/or regional partnerships
- Demonstrable completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level
