As a physician, make an impact outside the hospital, with more regularity and room for balance. You work at the intersection of individual care and public health in a predictable rhythm, without night shifts and with limited weekend work. What you do
- Conduct medical examinations and intake interviews with donors;
- Assess donor suitability and make decisions regarding admission;
- Evaluate complex medical issues related to donor safety, medication use, and risk assessment;
- Guide donors during and after donation and provide medical care where necessary;
- Be the point of contact for medical questions and situations during donation;
- Monitor the quality of donor screenings and support colleagues;
- Contribute to improvements, training, or projects within the organization.
What they ask
- BIG-registered physician (Dutch healthcare professionals register);
- Good command of the Dutch language at a minimum C1 level, suitable for conducting medical conversations with donors;
- Affinity with public health or preventive medicine;
- Strong communication skills and an empathetic attitude;
- Independent, meticulous, and decisive;
- High degree of flexibility;
- Possess a valid driving license (B) and have your own transport to visit various locations;
- Familiar with working with computers and digital systems and quickly adopting new tools.
Practical
- Start with a 7-month contract, with the prospect of permanent employment;
- Excellent work-life balance: no night shifts, with occasional weekend duty;
- Irregularity allowances for evening and weekend shifts;
