Event Broker

You will work on strengthening support for event organizers within a partnership of government organizations. The project focuses on reducing organizational and administrative bottlenecks, stimulating cooperation, and developing sustainable support structures for events. The goal is to preserve liveability, culture and sport, social cohesion, and regional identity.

What you will do.

  • You will develop a regional package with practical formats, checklists, sample plans, and guidelines.
  • You will investigate possibilities to simplify procedures and provide regional advice for reducing administrative burdens.
  • You will research and implement a regional digital event desk or knowledge platform.
  • You will develop a proposal for structural support for event organizations after the project concludes.
  • You will ensure that participating organizations have a feasible future scenario for regional event support.
  • You will report on results and ensure visible products for organizers and participating organizations.
  • You will be the connecting link between organizers, government organizations, safety partners, volunteer organizations, and other involved parties.
  • You will support and advise at least 30 event organizations annually on issues related to permits, safety, regulations, and organization.
  • You will organize knowledge sessions or training for organizers and volunteers.
  • You will develop a proposal for one or more regional forms of cooperation, such as a volunteer pool for traffic controllers, first aid providers, and event supporters.
  • You will work closely with all involved parties within the region to achieve support, cooperation, and continuity.

What they ask

  • Minimum 2 years of demonstrable work experience as an advisor/project leader within the event industry.
  • Demonstrable work experience in the field of events in relation to governments, volunteer organizations, recreation/tourism, culture, or a similar field.

Preferences.

  • At least a completed HBO bachelor's degree in Events, Public Administration, or a similar field.
  • Minimum 4 years of demonstrable work experience as an advisor/project leader within the event industry.
  • Demonstrable work experience with a volunteer organization.
  • Demonstrable work experience with a public organization.
  • Demonstrable work experience with process improvement.
