Java Messaging Specialist

For a public sector organization, a Java Messaging Specialist is sought. As a Java Messaging Specialist with a passion for delivering reliable and efficient solutions, you will be involved in the development, maintenance and evolution of asynchronous messaging flows managed through an Artemis Broker, ensuring the reliability, security and performance of the messaging ecosystem.

What you do

  • Develop and maintain messaging components using Artemis Broker.
  • Configure queues, topics and dead-letter queues.
  • Troubleshoot messaging issues such as message loss, duplication and delays.
  • Create and maintain integration tests.
  • Monitor the messaging environment using Grafana and Instana and support broker-related incidents.
  • Support security, deployments and junior team members, including documentation and code reviews.

Profile

  • 5-10 years of experience as a Messaging Specialist, Java Developer or similar role, with production experience in asynchronous messaging.
  • Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Spring, Hibernate/JPA, SQL and REST APIs.
  • Experience with Artemis, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ or Kafka in production.
  • Good knowledge of JMS/AMQP, queues, topics, dead-letter queues and message handling.
  • Experience with Linux/Red Hat, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Git and GitLab CI/CD. ArgoCD is a plus.
  • Knowledge of OAuth2/JWT, TLS/ACL, relational databases (DB2 is a plus), Grafana, Instana and Sonar.
  • Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Experience in mentoring junior colleagues is a plus.
