A specialized team supports children and young people with mental health needs who are admitted or treated in pediatric departments of general hospitals. The team bridges physical and mental healthcare and supports patients, their context, and the involved hospital teams through consultation, training, and intervision. This position is a maternity leave replacement.
What you will do.
- Provide support to teams in general hospitals, be present in the pediatric department, participate in consultations, and offer support for questions about psychological problems.
- Work on strengthening the competencies of staff in general hospitals by developing and delivering training to nurses and pediatricians, both live and online.
- Conduct short-term patient guidance, always in collaboration with the pediatrician. This may include conversations with the patient, parents/context, and/or a home visit.
- The guidance is primarily focused on clarifying the request, providing support, and referring to appropriate further assistance.
- Work in close collaboration with colleagues, a youth doctor, and a child psychiatrist.
- Be managed by the team coordinator.
Profile
- Master's degree in psychology or another relevant academic helping profession.
- Experience in mental healthcare.
- Ability to easily connect with pediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Feel comfortable in advisory, consultation, and training contexts.
- Be independent, eager to learn, curious, and driven.
- Be willing to work at various locations in general hospitals.
- Possess a B driving license and a personal car.
