In this challenging role, you help families on their way to more peace, stability, and independence. You will work in a new department that you will help shape and build with your colleagues. This department offers temporary housing to 26 (single-parent) families. Each family has its own room and receives guidance and training focused on self-sufficiency. Within a defined period of three to five months, families work towards a sustainable transition to their own home.
What you will do.
- You are the trusted face of the location and work with families facing multiple problems.
- You contribute daily to a calm, structured, and safe environment for the target group.
- You build a relationship of trust with the families and support them in the practical aspects of daily life.
- You have an important signaling role, are alert to changes, and discuss concerns or risks promptly with the personal supervisor and other involved colleagues.
- You support the personal supervisor in the implementation of the care plan and administrative tasks related to urgent applications and outflow.
- You assist with cooking or go to the playground with a parent and child.
- You prepare reports and ensure a carefully maintained file.
- You apply your knowledge and experience during group training sessions that help families live independently.
Profile
- Completed MBO 4 education in Social Care, Social Work, or a comparable field.
- Affinity with the target group and the drive to make a difference for families.
- Stress-resistant and able to maintain an overview, even during peak moments.
- Flexibility and willingness to work in varying shifts.
- Act proactively and decisively.
- Multilingualism is a plus.
- You are a Christian (Catholic, Protestant, etc.) and can articulate what that means to you.
- A positive Certificate of Conduct (VOG) is required.
