Sustainability Manager

DrentheHybrid36 hours/week<3months

Do you want to make an impact on the sustainability of healthcare? Do you see opportunities where others see obstacles? And do you know how to involve people, from the shop floor to the Board of Directors, in this change? Then the role of Sustainability Manager is for you within a large healthcare organization.

What you will do. As a Sustainability Manager, you are the driving force behind the further sustainability of the organization. You translate ambitions into concrete initiatives and ensure that sustainability becomes a natural part of our way of working. Together with facility project leaders, you form a strong team within sustainability projects that converts sustainability objectives into visible results.

Where the project leaders focus on process-oriented implementation, you bring the substantive expertise, strategic direction, and connection within the organization.

  • You further shape themes such as sustainable care, circular working, waste separation, sustainable procurement, real estate sustainability, mobility, and the ambitions from the Green Deal Sustainable Healthcare.
  • You visit conferences, networks, and partnerships to achieve even greater impact with other organizations.
  • You maintain contacts with partners and suppliers.
  • You maintain contacts with all layers within the organization and seek connection to achieve the objectives together.
  • You maintain the network of sustainability ambassadors. Through them, you come into contact with the right colleagues to initiate initiatives.
  • You make results transparent and report on them to the Board of Directors.

Profile

You are a pragmatic idealist. Someone who likes to make an impact but also understands that change does not happen overnight. You feel comfortable in a role where you switch between directors, managers, healthcare professionals, and external partners.

  • Experience with policy development and/or quality, project, program, and change management.

  • Strong communication skills and the talent to involve people at different levels in change.
  • An intrinsic drive to make a social impact and advance sustainability.

Wishes.

  • Experience within the sustainability domain or with the Green Deal Sustainable Healthcare is a plus, but certainly not a requirement.
