You will work as a construction manager/supervisor on road adaptations within a government organization. You will be an active member of construction teams working on infrastructural projects, both for larger investment projects and for major maintenance. The focus is on budget, time, quality, and support within the project environment. The activities constitute a structural role within the team and require full integration into the organization.
What you will do.
- Participate in construction teams and project teams from the preparation phase
- Prepare environmental matters, including planning of execution, traffic measures, and communication with stakeholders
- Daily consultation with the contractor, the environment, and other stakeholders during execution
- Directing and supervising the quality of the work delivered by the contractor
- Following the planning and assessing additional and less work, and weekly statements
- Supporting the project leader in these tasks
- Consulting with the contractor and third parties
- Communicating with residents/stakeholders regarding nuisance
- Project delivery
- Addressing the contractor regarding the execution and quality of the work
- Supervising the safety of the work
What they ask
- Minimum of 5 years demonstrable work experience in the past 7 years with construction management and supervisory tasks
- Willingness to perform some work during evening, night, and/or weekend hours
- Possesses a B driving license
- Completed education at least MBO level 4
Wishes.
- Completed education at least MBO level 4 in civil engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working on road projects at a government agency
- Demonstrable knowledge of working on projects with asphalt and concrete
- Completed at least 3 road projects with a positive result up to delivery
