Working for a government organization means you will join a rural municipality. What you will do.
- Provide solicited and unsolicited advice to the board and managers on all topics related to public order and safety.
- Conduct structural consultations within the security triangle.
- Fulfill a coordinating role within the organization for this task area.
- Advise on and implement policy in the field of public order and safety, for example, in the area of residential nuisance and the Damocles Act.
- Develop a safety implementation plan based on the Integral Safety Plan.
- Identify and analyze developments for their consequences on municipal policy and advise on these.
- Advise, support, and, if necessary, direct in cases of social and/or societal (crisis) situations, where cross-departmental actions and measures must prevent social unrest (e.g., residential nuisance, youth issues, and aftercare for ex-detainees).
- Advise on the approach to organized crime and subversion, weighing the integral approach within all work areas of the organization for feasibility and effectiveness.
- Draw up an action plan for the topic of subversion and contribute to various subgroups within the regional approach to subversion.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case studies with police and justice.
- Join various projects/meetings, including those related to human trafficking.
- Be the account holder for the regional security service on behalf of the organization and be responsible for the internal crisis organization.
- Lead projects in the field of public order and safety and related policy areas.
- Contribute to the implementation of activities within the framework of the crisis organization and, as an on-call officer, make an active contribution to regional cooperation in population care processes.
- Provide legal advice related to safety (e.g., temporary house ban act, residential nuisance act, opium act, etc.), including representation in appeal cases.
- Advise on public order and safety within the process of event permits.
- Facilitate and support initiatives from the community.
- This involves replacing a permanent employee (long-term illness) and is therefore an embedded function under leadership and supervision.

- Demonstrable completed education at a minimum HBO bachelor level.
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrable work experience as a policy advisor/policy officer within the field of public order and/or crisis management.
- Demonstrable work experience with politically and administratively sensitive dossiers.
- Demonstrably residing in the Northern Netherlands region and easily accessible and available for incidents and crisis situations, including outside office hours.
Preferences.
- Demonstrable completed education at a minimum HBO bachelor level in the direction of Integral Safety or Law.
- Demonstrable work experience as an advisor at a government organization.
- Demonstrable work experience with crisis management and/or public order and safety.
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrable work experience as a policy advisor within the field of public order and/or safety at a government organization.
- Demonstrable work experience with developing a safety implementation plan based on the Integral Safety Plan.
