OSINT Researcher

• Acquiring Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) for military cyber operations.
• Acting as an important sensor in the intelligence process.
• Ensuring the availability of intelligence needed to achieve operational goals.
• Conducting in-depth research into publicly available information.
• Being the point of contact and advisor for OSINT within the work environment.
• Representing OSINT externally.
• Acquiring, developing, and securing knowledge in the field of OSINT.

What they ask

• Relevant HBO/WO education or equivalent work and thinking level.
• Additional courses on internet usage, social media, and research with information providers.
• Extensive experience with OSINT and SOCMINT.
• Affinity with cyber.
• Proficiency in research (open sources), applying research and analysis methods and techniques.
• Proficiency in writing and presenting OSINT semi-finished and final products.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Dutch nationality and having resided in the Netherlands for the past 10 years.

Desired.

• Experience with scripting or programming languages.
• Experience in the intelligence domain (e.g., with an intelligence service).
• Experience in the cyber domain.
• Experience working in a joint environment.
• Knowledge of at least 1 other language (e.g., French, Spanish).
• Knowledge of a non-Western language (e.g., Russian, Chinese, Arabic, Farsi).

• A security clearance investigation is part of the selection procedure.
