Construction Manager

• Prepare and update the Construction Concept / Execution Plan.
• Plan the sequence and organization of activities in close cooperation with planners and schedulers.
• Ultimately responsible for project execution: timely delivery within budget.
• Coordinate all work within the framework of the project.
• Control and manage changes on the construction site to a strict minimum.
• Regular consultation with Lead Contract Management.
• Participate in drafting the Contracting Strategy and actively participate in Bid Clarification Meetings.
• Ensure that the Construction / Coordination Team is fully aware of the content of the construction contracts.
• Consult with Procurement regarding Change Management and Claim Management.
• Make decisions in case of conflicting work or activities between contractors and/or the client's own works.
• Coordinate with Engineering in identifying design errors or conflicts during the execution phase.
• Align resource, material, and equipment planning.
• Hold regular consultation and coordination meetings with contractors.
• Conduct daily inspection rounds to assess and adjust the quality of executed works.
• Review daily and weekly reports from contractors and consult with the Scheduler on progress reports.
• Participate in model reviews and contribute to constructability and feasibility checks.
• Lead inspections for the acceptance of (partial) Mechanical Completions and prepare Punch Lists; organize actions to resolve punch items.
• Maintain a good relationship with the construction supervision of contractors and ensure timely transfer of all necessary documentation upon Mechanical Complete.
• Ensure the availability and accuracy of the required permits for the execution of the works, in cooperation with the Operations representative.
• Consult with the HSE team during the implementation and execution of the HSE plan during the execution phase.
• Lead Construction Management to keep construction documentation up-to-date, including As-Built documentation.
• Lead the Construction Management / Coordination Team in reviewing the Execution Plan, Plan of Approach, WPS, and PQR provided by contractors.
• Establish a material management procedure for all ordered materials and warehouse materials.
• Lead the team in determining achieved milestones and completed works, in support of payment releases per contractor.
