That is why we are looking for people who maintain an overview, take responsibility, and ensure that work is carried out safely and according to agreements. For a penitentiary institution, we are looking for multiple Construction Supervisors. Together with your colleagues, you will play an important role during a planned renovation.
You will ensure that external employees can perform their work safely, that safety and security agreements are adhered to, and that work can take place in a controlled environment. Safety is always central – for employees, visitors, and detainees.
What you do
As a construction supervisor, you are the connecting link between external employees performing work and the institution's organization. You are visibly present on the work floor, maintain an overview, and ensure that everyone can work safely and according to the established safety and security agreements. You work in a unique environment where safety, trust, and responsibility are central. You remain calm, keep a close eye on situations, and take action when necessary. Your duties include:
- Guiding external employees within and around the institution
- Supervising the safety of external employees within the institution
- Monitoring safety rules and security measures
- Checking compliance with agreements regarding access, safety
- Signaling deviations or unsafe situations and acting adequately upon them
- Collaborating with colleagues in security and facility support, among others

Experience in, for example, construction, technology, security, defense, government, or another environment where safety and responsibility are important, is a plus. Pensioners are also invited to apply. Demonstrable required work and thinking level (VMBO/MAVO/LBO). If not demonstrable with a diploma, this will be tested with a capacity test during the application procedure.

- The position offers flexible hours
- Working hours are Monday to Friday between 07:00 and 16:30
- A Certificate of Conduct (VOG) will be requested
- An introductory meeting over coffee is part of the procedure
