Project Control Manager

A municipal organization is undergoing significant development and operates with an approach centered on its residents. In the coming years, the organization will realize various complex and visible projects that contribute significantly to the city's growth, accessibility, and liveability.

These projects are characterized by high social, administrative, and technical complexity and relate to both the redesign and renewal of public spaces and integrated area developments where housing, facilities, mobility, green spaces, and infrastructure are realized in conjunction.

What you will do. You will contribute to complex and integrated projects in the fields of area development, redesign, and infrastructure. You will work independently within assigned projects, be part of the project (IPM) teams, and coordinate with the project manager on the setup of project control. You will ensure reliable steering on planning, finances, risks, capacity, quality, and progress, so that project teams can make timely adjustments and well-founded decisions.

You will work closely with project managers, planning economists, planners, contract managers, technical managers, project staff, and the corporate office. You will find the right balance between performing tasks yourself and coordinating project control activities. You are a hands-on professional who not only advises but also, where necessary, draws up schedules, performs risk analyses, elaborates financial forecasts, and prepares reports.

You are visibly present in the project team, create overview and structure, and contribute to predictable and manageable project execution. In addition to project-related activities, you will actively contribute to the further professionalization of IPM work and project control within the organization. This involves applying, evaluating, and developing processes, formats, and working methods, participating in reviews, and sharing knowledge and best practices within the organization.

Responsibilities.

• Managing and monitoring planning, finances, risks, quality, capacity, and document control within the projects.
• Advising project managers and IPM teams on control measures, risks, and project steering.
• Monitoring scope changes and making their effects on time, money, quality, and risks transparent.
• Performing planning and risk management and reporting on progress to relevant stakeholders.
• Preparing and updating financial forecasts, identifying deviations from budget and credit, and advising on control measures aimed at predictable financial project steering.
• Preparing and maintaining management information and administrative reports.
• Further developing project control within the organization by improving working methods, formats, dashboards, forecasting processes, and reports within the IPM organization.

• Current and reliable project schedules.
• Realistic financial forecasts and up-to-date insight into budgets, commitments, and financial risks.
• An up-to-date risk file with appropriate control measures and monitoring.
• Periodic progress reports and steering information for project management, management, and administration.
• Timely signaling of deviations in planning, finances, scope, and quality, including proposals for adjustment.
• A contribution to the further professionalization and standardization of project control within the organization.
