Intensive care supervisor

You will work with adults with very severe multiple disabilities (ZEMB), focusing on utilizing every possibility. Clients have visual and multiple disabilities, making you, as a supervisor, their hands and eyes, translating what is happening. Clients communicate verbally and non-verbally, through body language and sounds. Many clients are wheelchair-bound and require support with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), ranging from full assistance to encouraging their own abilities.

There are also nursing procedures such as administering tube feeding and oxygen. You will work on a site with multiple residences for this target group.

What you will do.

  • Support clients with visual and intellectual disabilities.
  • Assist with ADL, such as dressing, showering, and eating.
  • Ensure a pleasant living environment.
  • Perform nursing technical procedures, such as administering tube feeding and oxygen.
  • Observe clients, identify issues, and report on them.
  • Discuss care-related topics with colleagues, such as epilepsy, choking, and tube feeding.
  • Contribute to keeping the schedule up-to-date in collaboration with colleagues.

Profile

  • Social work or care-related diploma at level 3 or 4 (e.g., personal supervisor, care assistant IG, or nurse).
  • Caring, enjoys variety and challenges.
  • Enjoys teamwork.
  • Flexible due to 24-hour care (no night shifts required).
  • Curious and eager to learn.
  • Enthusiastic and thinks in possibilities.
