What you do
As a director, also known as a nursing team leader, you lead the employees of a residential care group. You are the first point of contact for residents and their relatives, you monitor the quality of care, and you coordinate the deployment of therapists and other disciplines. Part of your hours you work along in the execution of care, to gain direct insight into daily practice. You report to your supervisor.
- Lead the employees of your residential care group, motivate them, and ensure optimal staffing and sufficient expertise.
- Serve as the first point of contact for residents and their relatives, translating their needs into a concrete care offer.
- Monitor the quality of care provided and adjust where necessary.
- Coordinate collaboration with doctors, psychologists, therapists, and other professionals.
- Provide input for the annual plan, ensure its implementation, monitor the budget, and report on your team's results.
