A Belgian family business, a key reference in the distribution of tools, equipment, and solutions for building professionals, is looking for a Commercial & Marketing Director. The organization has spanned generations while maintaining its values of proximity, expertise, service quality, and innovation. The company has approximately 80 employees and operates in Belgium.
What you do
- You define and implement the company's commercial policy to increase sales and optimize profit margins.
- You drive the commercial strategy, ensuring market watch, analysis of customer needs and trends, as well as defining development plans and commercial objectives.
- You define pricing structures and commercial conditions, proposing them to General Management for validation.
- You manage and lead a commercial team (consisting of delegates, shop managers, and internal sales representatives), setting SMART global and individual objectives and monitoring performance.
- You ensure communication between General Management and the commercial team, relaying strategic information and leading commercial meetings.
- You support teams in the field and in managing complex or strategic cases, providing operational and commercial support.
- You manage and develop a portfolio of strategic clients, negotiating commercial agreements aimed at retaining clients and increasing sales.
- You monitor turnover and report to General Management, and actively participate in Management Committee meetings.
- You manage the marketing department (1 employee) and deploy communication actions (content, internal promotions, field activities, and communication campaigns).
Profile
- You have completed higher education (master or bachelor).
- You have successful experience in managing a commercial team in the tools or construction sector.
- This experience provides you with technical skills related to products, markets, competitors, and the industry sector.
- You are recognized for your analytical mind combined with a strong field orientation and an ability to transform reflection into concrete actions.
- You are proficient in French. Knowledge of Dutch will be considered a significant asset.
- You are proficient in IT tools (ERP, CRM, Office suite).
