As an Infrastructure Engineer, you contribute to a safe society by ensuring the IT infrastructure of a government organization remains reliable, secure, and available. You work on the management, improvement, and continuous development of technical facilities and support users and colleagues with complex issues. You focus on technical management and continuous improvement of organization-wide IT facilities, monitor system availability and quality, implement complex changes, and optimize management processes.
What you do
- Managing and optimizing ICT infrastructure, including Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Analyzing and resolving complex incidents and problems (3rd-line support).
- Executing technical changes, installations, configurations, and improvements within the infrastructure.
- Monitoring the availability, performance, and security of systems and acting proactively in case of deviations.
- Implementing hardening, patching, and security measures according to applicable guidelines.
- Automating management activities through scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python).
- Testing, documenting, and delivering new or modified technical solutions.
- Supporting fellow administrators through knowledge sharing, guidance, and coaching.
- Collaborating with designers, engineers, suppliers, and other IT specialists to continuously improve service delivery.

- HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with IT infrastructure management.
- Experience with Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
- Experience with incident, change, problem, and configuration management (preferably according to ITIL).
- Knowledge of scripting and automation, for example, PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Basic knowledge of network concepts, such as IP, routing, firewalls, and load balancing.
- Experience with security measures such as hardening, patch management, and monitoring.
- Experience with testing, documenting, and improving technical solutions.
- You are analytical, meticulous, and take responsibility for the quality of your services.
- You enjoy collaborating, sharing knowledge, and helping colleagues grow.
Desired.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or container platforms.
- Certifications such as ITIL 4 Foundation, RHCE, Windows Server, Docker/Kubernetes, or security-related certifications.
- Experience within a large or complex IT organization.
