Climate Neutrality Task

A government organization aims to be climate neutral by 2050. To achieve this, a task has been initiated, divided into six sub-tasks. They are looking for someone to temporarily take on the coordination of the overall climate neutrality task. This is a strategic role that provides direction, seeks connection, and ensures quality within a dynamic work field.

What you do

  • Coordination of the climate neutrality task 2050
  • Coordinating the (sub-)tasks and the sub-task leads
  • Steering the climate neutrality action plan 2050
  • Further setting up the climate neutrality task team 2050
  • Managing the task team, including sub-task team members
  • Performing P-tasks
  • Shaping the various actions from the action plan and steering them to achieve the intended goal
  • Investigating which organizational structure helps achieve climate neutrality
  • Setting up the task team according to the plan, together with the team leader
  • Executing the sustainability action plan with the team
  • Coordinating the work within your cluster and ensuring a clear direction
  • Ensuring the quality of activities and supporting colleagues
  • Monitoring workload and collaborating with the team leader for a healthy work-life balance
  • Providing timely and sharp input for the P&C cycle regarding the finances of the task
  • Steering the task budget
  • Identifying trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities in the task and acting accordingly
  • Acting as the administrative point of contact and official contractor for the entire Climate Neutrality Task 2050
  • Reporting to the team leader and the client of the task
  • Ensuring that the climate neutrality task is well-organized upon your departure

What they ask

  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 10 years with program management
  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrable work experience with strategic advising within a government organization
  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrable work experience with managing project and/or program teams
  • Agreement with the stated secondment condition (if applicable)
  • Use of own IT resources (laptop, phone, and associated accessories)

Preferences.

  • Demonstrable work experience with program management in a political-administrative environment
  • Demonstrable work experience with setting up and reorganizing a team
  • Demonstrable work experience with coordinating employees
  • Demonstrable work experience with administrative advising
