Information Advisor Metadata

As an information advisor, you focus on processes and projects with a clear information management component within your department. In collaboration with the team of information advisors and specialists in Privacy, Security, Data & AI, you contribute to sustainable and future-proof solutions. You monitor compliance with policies, legal frameworks, and established procedures.

Additionally, you follow relevant developments, identify risks, and pinpoint opportunities for process optimization, Agile working, and further digitalization.

What you will do.

  • Develop and manage metadata models and standards for documents, files, data, and processes within a government organization
  • Establish and maintain guidelines for classification, keywords, taxonomies
  • Monitor consistency and quality within information systems, including DMS/RMS, case management systems, and collaboration platforms
  • Conduct metadata audits, quality measurements, and data profiling in applications and registrations
  • Support the migration of archives and datasets, including mapping between old and new metadata structures
  • Collaborate with information advisors, record managers, functional administrators, data architects, and privacy officers
  • Manage metadata catalogs, appraisal lists, and destruction selection lists
  • Work on issues at the intersection of archiving, business operations, legal obligations, and digital architecture

Profile

  • HBO/WO (higher professional education/university) work and thinking level, preferably in information management, archival science, computer science, data management
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in information management, archiving, or data management
  • Experience within a large government organization or comparable executive organization
  • Knowledge of the Archiefwet, Woo, AVG (GDPR), BIO, selection lists, and municipal standards
  • Knowledge of metadata standards and data models such as MDTO, TMLO, NEN-ISO 23081
  • Experience with DMS/RMS, case management systems, and Office 365 / SharePoint / Teams
  • Understanding of data architecture, information modeling, and data catalogs

Practical

The Information and Automation (I&A) department is part of an internal service. This department is responsible for managing all information-related services. We provide advice and expertise, from information strategy, portfolio management, and decentralized ICT strategies, to research into information issues and the execution of ICT projects.

You will work within a multidisciplinary Information Management team (MDT), where advisors, functional management, and various experts, including privacy and security, collaborate closely on high-quality end results.
