As a Work Preparer Road Construction/Civil, you will work from a location in the Northern Netherlands on recognizable renovation and asset management projects for bridges, locks, and infrastructural objects. Think of projects for public clients, including work on a specific route. What you do
As a Work Preparer, you are the connecting link between design, preparation, and execution. You ensure that projects are well-prepared technically, organizationally, and administratively, so that colleagues can work efficiently and safely. You will work on diverse projects for various public clients. The scope ranges from smaller assignments to integrated projects worth millions of euros.
- Preparing projects within various contract forms (e.g., RAW and UAV-GC)
- Drawing up work plans in close collaboration with the project team members
- Requesting quotations, selecting subcontractors and suppliers
- Ensuring timely availability of materials, equipment, and necessary information
- Monitoring schedules, budgets, and progress, and identifying potential bottlenecks
- Maintaining contact with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues from other disciplines (e.g., mechanical engineering and electrical engineering)
Profile
- Minimum MBO work and thinking level, preferably in the direction of infrastructure, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering
- Preferably at least five years of experience as a work preparer within infra-related projects
- Experience with projects for a national government agency is a plus
- Experience in drawing up work plans
- Affinity with mechanical and electrical engineering work
- Driving license B
- Good command of the Dutch language
Practical
Your base of operations is a location in the Northern Netherlands, but you will also regularly visit project sites. You will be part of a business unit focused on renovation within infrastructure. Together with colleagues, you will work on projects in public spaces where technology, safety, sustainability, and accessibility converge.
