Postdoc Solvothermal Recycling of Cardiac Catheters
This Postdoc position is part of a newly funded project that brings together a multidisciplinary consortium. The project aims to tackle the challenge of single-use cardiac electro-surgical catheters in the healthcare sector. These devices are often made of complex, highly engineered composite materials with various types of polymers and precious metals that are difficult to recycle. Currently, after use, they are usually incinerated, resulting in significant material losses and environmental impact.
This Postdoc position provides a unique opportunity to help redefine circularity in the healthcare sector in collaboration with leading industry partners.
