Redevelopment of a former tannery near the center of a locality.
- Drafting a Master Plan for an infill location for housing development (possibly in combination with other functions).

- Two locations are under consideration. At one of the two locations, there is space for a total of approximately 50 homes: this remaining space must be put on the market via a tender (or similar). This tender is part of the assignment.
What you will do.

- Facilitate the development of the Master Plan in participation with the community and other stakeholders.
- Potentially issue a tender.
- Draft a vision for one or two expansion locations of a core area, one for living and one for working.
- Facilitate the development of the visions in participation with the community and other stakeholders.
- Execute the Letter of Intent for 30 modular homes in collaboration with a housing corporation.
- Engage in community participation.
- Market the remaining space via a tender or similar.
- Contribute ideas on other topics/spatial developments.
Profile
- The candidate can contribute ideas on other topics and spatial developments; this is secondary to the activities described above.
What they ask
- Demonstrable completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level.
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 5 years with area development within a government institution.
- The candidate is willing to be physically present at the office for at least 3 days per week.
- Demonstrable knowledge of the spatial and housing policy of a province.
Preferences.
- Demonstrable work experience collaborating with housing corporations.
- Demonstrably residing within a 45-kilometer radius of the location.
- Demonstrable work experience with national and provincial subsidy schemes for soil remediation and preserving/repurposing heritage.
- Demonstrable work experience in the past 3 years with developing and initiating housing developments in a municipality of up to 80,000 inhabitants.
- Demonstrable work experience in the role of project leader or strategic advisor for area development at a municipality.
